Overstimulated - Neurodivergent Hoodie

OVERSTIMULATED.

Sometimes the most accurate description is also the simplest one.

Too many sounds. Too many conversations. Too many things asking for attention at the same time. Eventually there is no spare processing power left, and “I’m overstimulated” is about as much explanation as you have available.

This hoodie is for that moment.

The design takes the word OVERSTIMULATED and treats it like a dictionary entry, but the definition is deliberately human rather than clinical:

1. running on too many inputs and no spare processing power left.
2. me. often. no diagnosis required to relate.

That last line matters.

The design was created around recognition rather than diagnosis. For a neurodivergent wearer it may describe something deeply familiar, but you do not need a label or medical explanation to recognise what it feels like when the world is supplying more input than you have capacity for.

It is the kind of statement you wear for yourself first. Not to announce everything about who you are, but because somebody managed to put one familiar experience into words.

There is some dry humour in it too. The dictionary format gives “overstimulated” the formal treatment of a serious definition, while the second definition simply admits: me. often.

That balance is what keeps the design from becoming either clinical or novelty-loud.
